Note: vulcanization system used in FKM2461 and FKM2462 is bisphenol AF, while in FKM2463 is 3# vulcanizer. The vulcanizing temperature recommended is 170±5.
Main applications:
Ø Widely used in aviation, automobile, petroleum and chemical industries, instrument and apparatus, architecture, etc.
Ø Mainly used for sealing materials requiring good resistance to high temperature, oil and corrosion, e.g. O" rings, "V" rings, gasket, sealing bowl with metal bone, tube/hose, etc.
Properties:
Gum
Ø Non-toxic, odorless, non-flammable, self-extinct and very stable in stock;
Ø Good solubility in low-molecular ketones (acetone, butanone) and ethers (acetic ether, butyl acetate).
Ø Gum is useless untill it becomes vulcanized rubber articles by adding certain additives

Physical and Mechanical properties
Ø Good physical and mechanical properties, depending on the different formulations and vulcanization processes;
Ø Excellent wear resistance, with only a mass loss of 0.198g after 1000 turns in the Shore abrader under 1kg loads;
Ø Far smaller permanent compression set when using Bisphenol AF vulcanization system instead of general vulcanization system.

Heat-resistance
Ø Little changes in the tensile strength as the temperature increases, after aging at 275 for 24hs;
Ø Service for long period under 275, service for short period at 320.
Ø
Low temperature resistance
Ø The elasticity of FKM246 keeps down to -15;
Ø Sealing capability even keeps at -49 by using low-compression deformation formula.
Ø
Resistance to oils, solvents and chemicals
Ø Good stability against inorganic acids (HF, H2SO4, HNO3 etc.), high-concentrated H2O2 and other oxidants;
Ø Eexceptional resistance to nonpolar oils, fuels, organic solvents;
Ø Extremely little volume increment in mixed methanol-fuels.
Ø For comparison, FKM2311Q has a better resistance to acid, FKM26 has better oil-resistence, and FKM246 has excellent resistance in both oil and acid

Ø Electro-insulating property and fire resistance
Ø Insulation properties of fluoroelastomers are mainly depending on the fillers kinds and quantities used in formula;
Ø
Ø FKM26 is able to burn when approaching fire, but immediately selfextinct when leaving flame.
Weather and ozone resistance
Ø Best ozone resistance than any other rubbers;
Ø No change in the physical and mechanical properties when exposed in open air for several years;
Ø No chap occurring when put in atmosphere with a ozone concentration of 0.01% for 1000hs;
Ø Good stability against microbe;
Ø Moderate resistance to radiation. An increase in radiation dose results in higher hardness, larger permanent compression set, lower tensile strength and elongation.
Permeability and vacuum resistance
Ø Very slow gas diffusion speed and little permeability;
Ø Excellent sealing property, works well even at such high vacuum of 1.333×10-71.333×10-8pa
